There is not a day or a time in the day when God is not present with me.  Now and then there are times when I am not present to God.  Then my attitude has already slipped.  When my attitude is other than one of presence to and with God, I can really mess up.  I can (and unfortunately do) act as something other than a Christian.

Attitude maintenance is no easy thing.  Like everything else in life, maintaining an attitude of presence toward God takes work.  Daily prayer time is the easiest thing to let slide.  "I'll get back to it," is usually the promise, but seldom the reality. 

My attitude of presence toward has always required prayer time and quiet time, spent in listening for God, or at least feeling God's presence.  When I drop my attitude of presence toward God, all the rest of my attitudes and behaviors crash on the floor around me.

 

Making today a day spent intentionally in God's presence is my goal.  God has already promised to spend the day present with me.
